This will be an opportunity to probe further the residential schools within the context of colonialism, the political, economic and ideological forces that produced and sustained the colonial structures of domination, how those forces continue to operate, and how they might be challenged and changed in our current context. This conversation will be of immediate relevance in light of the ongoing indigenous-led blockade in Elsipogtog, New Brunswick.
